Recruitment Advisor

Nature of role

The Recruitment Advisor will provide end to end recruitment support for some of our key clients and internally at Kindleworth.

There will also be additional requests from our wider portfolio of clients as well as involvement in ad hoc projects. The role will include some liaison with international offices.

This role will work closely with the Senior Recruitment Manager and Recruitment Coordinator, as well as the HR Partner and HR Director

Key Responsibilities

Vacancies and workload will be varied and can include anything from recruiting PAs and Paralegals to Lawyers. We also manage a range of recruitment campaigns for our clients, including Trainee, Intern and interim recruitment, as well as new client launches. Specific tasks will include:

Client and stakeholder management

  • Work with clients and hiring managers to identify and advise on current and future recruitment requirements
  • Advise on and agree recruitment strategies, defining requirements and agreeing effective sourcing channels
  • Advise on and agree assessment methods, as well as taking the lead when interviewing candidates, where appropriate

Talent Acquisition

  • Proactively manage the recruitment process, including maintaining contact with the candidates throughout, and offer management and negotiation
  • Carry out candidate screening calls and provide interview feedback; for certain clients carry out first level interview, either with another member of the HR team or with the client
  • Ensure effective logging, filing, tracking and responding to candidates or agencies (with some support from the Recruitment Coordinator)
  • Assist with recruitment agency communications, including agreeing terms and conditions
  • Ensure a seamless handover of the onboarding process to the wider team
  • Ad hoc project and recruitment campaign support, working closely with the Senior Recruitment Manager
  • Providing support to the general HR team when required

Systems and reporting

  • Provide regular status updates on recruitment activity, progress and challenges to clients and the wider HR/Kindleworth team
  • Ensuring the effective management of recruitment inboxes and trackers (with some assistance from the Recruitment Coordinator)
  • Work with the wider team to implement recruitment tracking system(s) where appropriate

Qualities and experience

  • A background in legal or professional services recruitment, ideally gained in-house
  • Experience of sourcing candidates through a wide variety of channels, including direct hiring as well as through preferred suppliers
  • Experience of working with applicants tracking systems
  • Experience of recruiting within an ‘early years’ environment (i.e.: interns, trainees) and/or interim/contract roles
  • Experience in running and leading technical interviews, alongside senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised and takes a proactive approach to driving recruitment practices
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to operate in a client facing role
  • A detailed understanding of relevant employment legislation as it pertains to recruitment
